About the Role
Inc. Consulting is excited to partner with a leading organisation in the insurance sector. We are recruiting a talented Credit Controller for a newly created position based in Leeds or London.
This pivotal role involves managing premium and fee collections, working closely with brokers, underwriters, and internal teams, and shaping a high-impact credit control function within the London Market specialty division.
Role Responsibilities.
- Manage the collection of premiums and fees, ensuring accounts are settled promptly and in full compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
- Work closely with brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor outstanding debt, allocate cash, and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
- Produce management information reports and ensure compliance with FCA, Lloyd’s, and internal policies.
- Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and the development of a high-performing credit control function.
Person Specification.
- Proven credit control experience within the insurance market and strong knowledge of Lloyd’s processes and practices.
- Experience with Electronic Claims Filing (ECF); SAP or similar finance systems desirable.
- Target-driven, able to prioritise a high-volume workload and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues independently.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, confident engaging senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and IT proficiency (particularly Excel).
- Positive, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
