About Me

Emma’s route into recruitment wasn’t typical. In 2008, she arrived at Michael Page as a candidate working in accounts and left as an employee - marking the start of an 11-year career with the PLC firm. During that time, she built deep expertise across transactional, part-qualified, qualified and senior finance roles, going on to specialise in senior finance and executive appointments. She led high-performing teams, won multiple awards for individual and team performance, and built one of the strongest finance networks in the region across Yorkshire and the Midlands.

In 2019, Emma founded Inc. Consulting. She built the business on a simple belief: recruitment should feel human. Whether it’s supporting individuals through career moves, helping business leaders hire people who will genuinely drive their organisations forward, or creating an environment where Team Inc. feel supported, valued and rewarded - Emma’s focus has always been people first.

Emma is passionate about social mobility, female empowerment and supporting young people entering the world of work. She’s part of SHEAF, Sheffield’s female leadership steering group, and works closely with local colleges, universities, and youth-focused committees to help future talent take their first steps into employment. Her two wonderful children are a big source of inspiration in this work.

She regularly speaks at events about resilience, career journeys, and building a business from the ground up. In 2020, she was shortlisted for the Institute of Directors Agility & Resilience Award and received a Highly Commended recognition - a proud moment and well-deserved, given she founded the business just before a global pandemic.

Emma's Approach.

Emma's dynamic, people-focused and always full of ideas - usually delivered mid-stride while pacing around the office. She sees the bigger picture quickly, asks the right questions, and brings energy and clarity to every conversation. Her approach blends optimism with practicality.

She’s built a reputation as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, a creative problem-solver, and someone who can connect people and opportunities with ease. Her knowledge of the Finance and Executive markets is second to none, and her ability to navigate complex situations makes her someone people repeatedly turn to.

Outside of Inc.

Away from work, Emma is busy being a mum to her two children and squeezing as much life as possible into any spare moment. She loves getting out into the Peaks, running, and finding new adventures with her family.

Emma also enjoys a challenge - and has a habit of saying “never again” right before signing up for the next one. She has completed two Marathons - after going from couch to marathon in just 18 months and earning herself a Good For Age - and in 2025, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, shortly followed by her first Hyrox just a week after returning.

From the Team.

“Emma is a beam of energy - she is dynamic, solutions-focused, can see the bigger picture, and always thinking five ideas ahead. Working with Emma is inspiring, energising, and never dull.”

“She’s an incredible networker, with loyal relationships she’s built over many years. Her knowledge of the finance and executive markets is exceptional, making her a trusted advisor to many senior leaders across Yorkshire."

“Emma is incredibly hard-working and down-to-earth. She’s generous with her time and always thinks of others before herself."
